Stichting Middin (Rijswijk, The Netherlands)
MiddinAt Middin we help people with a disability or an acquired brain injury to live life to the full. We know that this can sometimes be difficult. Together with those people, their network and cooperation partners we ensure that they can do what is good for and important to them. We have been doing this for over a hundred years.
We can help with accommodation, work, learning, leisure and taking care of yourself. A little help is often all that is needed and there are many things a person can do for himself or herself. We join forces with the people who are important to someone in order to help that person. So he or she can live life to the full. We are also on hand for parents, if they need our help with raising and educating their children. Because at Middin, we are about helping people, both young and old.
A little help is often all that is neededWe help people at home, whether living independently or with Middin’s assistance. We can help with work at companies and organisations and at our own workplaces, just like at school and at our children’s day centres. We think it’s important that Midden sites are healthy places. With 3,200 employees, we help 5,700 people at 180 sites in the towns and villages of South Holland.
Our work is all about peopleWe provide support using methods that have been scientifically proven to work. We also conductresearch jointly with educational institutions to improve our support further. Work at Middin is allabout people, done by people who want to make a difference to someone else’s life.
