Delphi Conference 'Social aspects of care'
In celebration of the 25 year anniversary of Asklepios we organized the one-day conference ‘Social aspects of care’ at the European Cultural Center of Delphi
About the conference
In an attempt to demedicalise care practices, experts have shared their insights on how social aspects affect care in the field of learning disabilities, elderly care and psychiatry.
During the covid-19 pandemic, we saw the main focus shift to medical and biological care. In this congress, speakers and participants discussed what new solutions arise with a focus on social aspects of care, and possibilities instead of disabilities.
In interactive workshops, participants have reflected on the subject of the keynote speeches and exchanged different ideas and practices from around the world and how these can enrich each other.
The day ended with the possibility for further exhange with international collegues during dinner.
The conference was very well received by the participants.
